Do you certify any coconut or almond flour for passover?

A) Although these products may be Chometz free, North American does not certify any products for passover unless there is an on site Mashgiach.<br>
B) If there are extenuating health issues, they need to be addressed by your Rabbi on a case by case situation.

What does the restriction D.E. (Dairy Equipment) mean?

D.E. products are manufactured with 100% Pareve ingredients which are completely dairy free, but are produced on manufacturing lines which have been thoroughly cleaned but not formally koshered that also produce heated dairy products.

Can ice cream that is labeled as D.E. be served after a meat meal?

Yes. D.E. certified "ice cream" and frozen deserts may be served after a meat meal on clean meat plates.

If the product is labeled Pareve why does the package state produced in a plant that contains dairy?

Dairy statements from the company are there for legal and liability requirements.

Sometimes the Flag-K is white on black and sometimes it is black on white.  What is the difference?

The Flag-K logos are both registered trademarks of North American Kosher.  Color of the logo does not affect the Kosher status.

Is the Striped Flag-K on a higher status than the plain Flag-K?

Both Flag-K marks are kept to the same high standard of kosher products. The plain Flag-K dairy is always pareve or chalav Yisrael dairy, the Striped Flag-K dairy may be chalav Stam or chalav Yisrael dairy or pareve or glatt kosher meat.

What is the Beis K kosher mark?
The Beis K is the kosher mark of Kehillas Beis Ben Zion which was founded by Rabbi Zushe Blech, Z"L, who was one of the world's experts in kosher food technology . It always holds to the strictest Mehadrin kosher standards including Pas Yisroel, Cholov Yisroel, Glatt Kosher, etc. After Rabbi Blech's death, his family asked Rabbi Simkin and North American Kosher to continue this kosher supervision. A share of the income generated by Beis Ben Zion Kosher goes to support a kollel in Jerusalem, Kollel Zichron Zushe Yosef,  which was founded in Rabbi Blech's memory.
